What we collect

App accounts. Accounts in the Bright & Brilliant app are created and managed by a parent or guardian. When you create an account we collect your email address and a password. You can also add a display name. If you turn on notifications, we receive a device token so we can send them.

App activity. So the app can pick up where your child left off, we keep track of basic listening and lesson progress connected to your account.

Website messages and signups. If you use our contact form or sign up for a free guide, we collect what you give us there, like your name, email address, and your message, so we can reply and send you what you asked for.

Shop purchases. Purchases on our shop are handled by Shopify, which collects order and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see your full payment card number.

Children’s privacy

Bright & Brilliant is made for kids, and we take that seriously. Accounts belong to parents and guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Kids use the app through their parent’s account, and the only thing connected to that use is lesson and listening progress. Our app shows no third-party advertising and we do not sell personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information directly, email us and we will delete it.

How we use information

We use the information above to run the app and website, save your family’s progress, answer your messages, send things you signed up for, and keep our services safe and working. That’s it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

When we share information

We share information only with the service providers who help us run things, like our website and app hosting, our email service, and Shopify for the shop. They can only use it to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (tap the profile icon, then Delete Account), or by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your email, password, profile details, and activity history from our servers. See our Delete Account page for the details.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you at any time. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email. To make any request, contact us at the email below and we’ll respond within a few business days.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we keep the information we collect to a minimum, which is the best protection there is.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
